Our North Vancouver Store is searching for an energetic, customer service-oriented retail sales associate to join our team on a Part-Time, weekly basis. As a sales associate you will be responsible for helping customers find the right product, offer assistance and answer questions so shoppers can make informed decisions about their purchases. Additionally, you will help identify customer needs and be able to recommend solutions by using your experience and knowledge about our products and services.

We are currently seeking someone who can work a minimum of two weekday shifts and can additionally commit up to three Saturdays per month throughout the Summer with a potential to continue in the Fall and Winter.
The ideal candidate will be available for at least two, if not all of the shifts listed below;

  • Tuesdays: 11:30am – 6:30pm
  • Thursdays: 11:30am – 6:30pm / OR / 2:00pm – 6:30pm minimum.
  • Fridays: 11:30am – 6:30pm / OR / 2:00pm – 6:30pm minimum.
  • Saturdays: 9:45am – 5:30pm

*Shift start times may vary and are negotiable.

*End of shift times are fixed and required until end of July.

Starting date: Immediately, or latest June 10th, 2024

Job responsibilities

  • Greet customers as they enter and provide assistance in a friendly, hospitable, and efficient manner
  • Keep up to date on product knowledge.  Answer questions related to merchandise, sales, promotions, and store policies.
  • Provide recommendations based on customer’s stated preferences, needs and desires
  • Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests by following the vision of the store and by acting in a welcoming and approachable manner during customer interactions
  • Operate a cash register and perform related tasks, including cash handling, credit card processing and opening and closing of the register when on the first or last shift of the day
  • Straighten, arrange, stock and dust off merchandise, maintain shelving areas as directed by management and participate in the designing of displays
  • Locate merchandise for customers, placing special orders to find desired items if necessary


Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. A strong working knowledge about our products, as well as a background in swimming related sports will be an asset to ensure quality service and enjoyable interactions with our customers.

  • have retail experience including POS/till experience
  • have cash handling experience, experience with closing and balancing day-end reports are an asset.
  • Strong asset; background in Swimming, water polo, synchro, competitive life-saving or a similar sport.
