The Speedo LZR Pure Valor is one of Speedo's newer high end race suits which replaced Speedo's long time favourite, LZR Elite. This suit is less compressive than it's partner, Pure Intent, hence a flexible race suit ideal for longer events.
TAS recommends the Pure Valor for middle distance, long-distance, and IM swimmers and well as anyone swimming an extensive array of events. Recommended events start at the 200s and go all the way to the 1500/1600 events. This suit is also popoular among breaststrokers.
Major muscle compression points come from the inner leg seams, which comfortably lock the large muscle groups for an increased power exertion and muscle activation. This suit utilizes flat bonded seams for drag reduction. Compared to the Elite, the Pure Valor introduces a new and imporved leg and waist band design, to reduce water ingress and increase buoyancy. Because it is less compressive, the Pure Valor has a more comfortable fit. It does not take as long to put on as the Pure Intent.
Overall, the Speedo LZR Pure Valor is a fantastic suit that offers wider range of motion. If you are looking for a very compressive race suit, TAS recommends the Pure Intent.
